Aunty in Town for Two Weeks

Hello Everybody,

I hope you all have had a good week. My week has been very good, it started a bit slow but got better as it went. We also got some new people at work recently. I was given the opportunity to train some of these new employees. I’ve missed training and teaching new people. I used to help train and teach the new employees for BTS and Daily Tours. I always enjoyed teaching people about the process and route we would run. Getting the opportunity to train and teach new employees at this work is a lot of fun for the most part. I’m excited to have been trusted to do so and am hoping for some more opportunities to do that.

This week my Aunt also came up from San Diego and has been staying with us. I have a lot of family in San Diego that I haven’t seen in a long time, so it’s always wonderful when they come up and I can see them. I’m hoping to fly down and visit them once my contract is up, but we’ll see if I’ll have the ability to. I always love spending my time with my family. It’s been nice to see her and spend time with her. We went to a Punk Flea Market and explored the various booths. There were some really cool things being sold there. My favorite booth was selling some lamps they had made to look like the Space Needle and a lamp that looked like the Death Star. It’s been a lot of fun to do these different activities and I’m looking forward to another week of shenanigans.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have a good week and I hope to have more stories next week.

Getting in the Swing of Things

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys have had a good week so far. This week was good I made a lot of progress in learning and adapting to work. This week was also good as my anxiety and stress has gotten a lot better. The rest of my week has been spent trying to figure out what else to do with my time. I spend so much time on the bus going between home and work. Right now, I spend most of my time just watching my shows on the bus, but I want to get either a tablet or laptop like the Surface Pro so I can work on stuff while on the bus. I think I’ll be saving my money for that.

Its been nice to feel like I’m starting to get used to the job and aspects that were causing me anxiety. I’m looking forward to moving forward in this job and seeing how much more I grow with in it. I’m also looking forward to eventually moving and having more friends to hang out with. This weekend is BTS at Full Sail and it reminded me of my goal to eventually join Hall of Fame and go out to BTS as alumni. I’m curious to see at what point in my career I’ll be able to come down and do those events as a guest. I’m only a year into my post college career but I’m still looking forward to eventually doing that.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have a good week and I’m looking forward to keeping you in the loop.

The End of my Masters

Hello my buddies!

I'm sorry for not posting last week. I've been super busy. Last week I had my final BTS. It was very bittersweet. It was so much fun. I was a stage manager again, but this month had a special twist. We had a guest for the months career development panel. Our guest was Tionne "Tboz" Watkins, the head singer of TLC. She was really cool and fun to hang out with. It was also pretty funny when Garry Jones, Full Sail's President, found out it was my last one. He started joking about foreseeing a course failure in my future. He also would call me out during the panels for graduating soon and other stuff. Then it was really cool because I got to hear how many people were interested in helping me after graduation. The experience was really heartwarming and it was an honor to work with these different people. I look forward to returning for BTS in the future, but next time as a speaker.

This was the end of my Masters program. Now I move forward into the world. I have graduation this upcoming Friday and the next day I fly home to Seattle. The entire program was without a doubt amazing. The ups and downs, the new experiences and a great way for me to grow my portfolio and network. The program led to me going to GDC and being able to expand my skill set. I'm so happy with my experience in my program. I may have faced all sorts of issues or problems in my experience, but they were all worth it. I learned so much via all of these problems. I'm excited but scared about my next steps. Who knows what will happen next, but without a doubt it'll be exciting.

My studio also released the game I've been working on. It's currently in early access on steam for $4.99. The game is named Tales of Mahabharata. It takes an ancient Indian epic and gamifies it. I had a lot of fun working on it so check it out and tell me what you think.

Well till next time you guys! I hope you have a great week and are ready for the future.

Nearing the End of an Era

Hello my friends!

I apologize for the late post, yesterday was BTS and it kept me super busy. This past week has been really good. We were able to make a lot of progress on Tales of the Mahabharata, the game I'm producing. Our art is going to be finished next week. The rest is just implementation and polish. I'm super excited for the game to be finished. We got feedback from various industry professionals. They gave us valuable feedback and we already are working towards fixing the issues they may have seen. It was great to be able to hear their critiques and insight. I'm excited for when the game is released and you guys can play it.

BTS was a lot of fun. I was a stage manager for the Career Dev panel. It's weird to think that this BTS was my second to last one. It was also one of my bosses final BTS, his name is Jim. I have been working BTS for so long I have gone through seven bosses. Out of my original BTS crew the only constants now are me and my other boss Andy. It's weird to see Jim leave the team and move to a different department. He was a great boss and someone I had a lot of fun working towards. This is just one step closer to the end, and I'm getting more and more anxious each day. However ,I'm also excited.

Well till next my friends. I wish you an awesome week and I hope you have a lot of fun.

The Magic of BTS

Hello my buddies!

This past week has been a unique one. I've been working in all sorts of different areas this week. I got to go into the areas of development. This has been a pretty interesting experience. I'm starting to try and figure out the best ways to go about doing dev work for RPG Maker. I'm excited to push forward and expand the skill set I can use.

I also had BTS today. I did something different for this one. Most typically I'm a stage manager, but today I was more of a floater. I was bouncing between different areas of work either holding doors or guiding guests. I also was invited to eat lunch with the President of my school and some of the different alumni. It was really interesting to be working in these areas and interact with these different things. BTS truly is a strange and fun work place.

Well I hope you guys have a great upcoming week! I wish you the best of luck and I'll check in with you guys next week!

New Website!

Hello everybody!

Welcome to my new website. I'm excited to let you peruse it and explore the different aspects of it. These past few weeks have been hectic I had spring break and then a whole lot of class work. This was in tandem with my capstone work. Today I worked BTS and got to chat with all sorts of awesome people. Yesterday and Friday, I was at the Mega Health Jam showing off the studio I work for and the different games we make. We've released a lot of games lately.

For Spring Break, I traveled back to Seattle. It was a lot of fun to be up there and hanging out with my family. I also got to celebrate my birthday with them. It was an amazing time. Being so far away from your family and hometown can be draining. It's very revitalizing to be able to see them and do stuff with them. We played new board games, ate awesome food and went to explore new places. I'm excited to see them again in August for my graduation.

Well till next week my friends. It is always a pleasure and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
