D&D

Prepping for Change

Hello everyone!

I hope you all have had a great week. My last week was pretty busy. I’m slowly making progress on job hunting and side projects. I’m making great progress on my latest Twine game. I need to try and be better about sticking to my schedule. I have made some excellent time on my various projects. The D&D game I’m running in Curse of Strahd had another player character die. So that’s 2 in 6 sessions both belonged to the same player. I have some plans to deal with that and I’m looking forward to their next character. We’ve been playing using Discord without cameras, so I also surprised them by using my camera to perform a Tarokka reading. In Curse of Strahd Tarokka is effectively Tarot. It has a built-in function with the campaign, so what I pulled for them makes a difference in the game. Hearing their reaction when I turned on the cam was awesome. I’m super excited for the next session.

I’ve also been cleaning out part of my grandparents’ house. My best friend from college will be moving up here relatively soon so I’m making sure he has a space. It’s been interesting moving stuff around the house and making space. I’m excited for him to join me up here, but also a bit stressed by it as I still am lacking in the job department. Speaking of which, I do have a phone screening coming up. I’m very excited for it and I’m hopeful in my chances. If I got this job it would be my first full time job in the industry and that would be really cool.

Well till next week you guys! I’ll, hopefully, have some good news for you next week. Have a good week you all.

4th of July

Hello everybody,

I hope you all had a good week. My week was pretty relaxing. I’m slowly making progress on a new Twine project. I figured I’d try my hand at cosmic horror as that is one of my favorite types of horror. I love seeing monsters that are just beyond reason and have unknown desires. Things that drive you mad without even having to try. I’m also continuing to learn how to code in Java. Most recently my lessons had me learning about loops. It’s interesting cause for the most part I know what the different terms mean, but now I’m learning how they actually work. It’s complicated, but I’m making progress. In my free time I’ve had my D&D campaigns. In my Curse of Strahd campaign, gothic horror story and setting, we had a player death. The player sadly had a run in with a bunch of monsters known as Shadows, think Dementors. They sapped away her strength and she died at least a semi peaceful death. The players new character though is going to be really interesting and I’m looking forward to introducing them. We’re about to start getting into the meat of that story so I’m excited to see how my players handle it.

Yesterday was also the 4th of July. I always loved the 4th of July ever since I was a kid. Launching fireworks and making an explosive show of light is just a lot of fun. I remember growing up and going to a farm to launch fireworks and have a big party. I also heard a new story of me as a kid launching fireworks. I always thought I used a punk to launch fireworks growing up, but apparently that’s not true. One of the times when I was little apparently instead of using a punk someone gave me their cigarette to light fireworks with. Now was that a smart idea I doubt it, but I love the image of me lighting fireworks with a cigarette. I’ll also say I don’t know how long I used the cigarette to light them or when it was taken from me, but it’s still hilarious. On a more serious note, though, as much as I love fireworks and the 4th of July I’d be okay if it went or changed. I know a lot of people don’t like celebrating it for various political reasons, but for me I’ve never cared about the Independence Day part of it. The 4th has always been an excuse to hang out with friends and family while we blow stuff up. I’m also well aware of the effect fireworks have on animals and veterans. I’d love if we could find something else to do on the 4th instead of fireworks that was fun for everyone. Maybe someday we’ll have more easily accessible laser light shows or something.

Well till next time my friends. I hope you all have a good week. Hopefully, soon enough I’ll have some more exciting news on my job hunt or side projects.

Pastimes and Hobbies

Hello Everybody!

This past week for me was pretty chill. Had a BBQ with some of my vaccinated friends and family. During which I played a lot of cornhole and ate a lot of good food. I’m excited that we are getting closer to normal and inch by inch being able to have larger gatherings. I also applied for some jobs that I’m really excited about. Hopefully, I’ll hear back soon enough and get an interview. I’ve found I aim more for an interview than the actual job sometimes. I guess to me an interview means growth. The more interviews though mean I’m growing and the more I get the farther along I get in my career. Getting a job afterword’s just solidifies the growth. Interviews are nice as well because they’re a great way to learn and gain insight into what ways you can improve. I’ve always loved good feedback and interviews are a great way to get it.

I’m also really excited because I’ll be starting a new D&D campaign soon. We’ll be running Curse of Strahd a classic D&D campaign of gothic horror. In the campaign players are spirited away to the land of Barovia with the goal of defeating a vampire lord named Count Strahd Von Zarovich. It’s one of the more famous campaigns and I’ve always wanted to play it so I’m very excited to finally get a chance to play especially as a DM. I’m excited to see how this turns out and if it’ll be spooky or not for the players. I’m also slowly making progress on my backlog of minis to paint. I’m currently working on decorations for a town. I keep needing to remind myself that there’s no rush to have enough pieces to make a city or castle. I’d be excited to make those, but that’s time and money I don’t have. Someday I’ll be able to do it, but not for a hot minute.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I hope to have some good news for you all then.

Holidays and 3D Printing

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas, New Years, and any other holiday you celebrate. I apologize for not posting last week but the holiday season is hectic and keeps me really busy. This holiday season was a lot of fun. I have such a large and complicated family that my last Christmas celebration was yesterday. Every year my Christmas celebrations are complicated, but it’s nice. I enjoy spending time with people and celebrating the year. I love the exchange of gifts and was excited to see that everyone seemed to love the gifts I got them. I also was excited about everything I got as well and I’m excited to start using them all. I’m also excited about this next year. I have a bunch of hobbies I’m excited to explore and learn more about. I feel good about what this year holds and what I’m going to be doing.

I also have been learning about 3D printing. This is a new hobby that I want to expand on and see what I can do with it. The process is exciting to learn and I’m growing more and more confident in the process. I’ve been slowly experimenting with different types of prints. I’m also mainly going to be using it for D&D creations, however, I’m excited to see what else I can use it for. I’ll have to get some other supplies for the things I’m printing. In the long run it will save me money and if all goes well or I learn a lot I could make money with it. My only concerns is how much electricity it eats up, but I imagine it isn’t going to be a big increase. When I moved back home there wasn’t a noticeable change I believe. I’m just excited to see how it progresses and what I can do with it

Well till next time you guys! I hope you have a good week and I’m excited to let you know what else goes on.

Growing in my Industry

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys have had a good week. My week went pretty well. I was able to get work done on D&D stuff. It’s nice because at my work there are a lot of people that play as well. We’ll often bounce ideas off each other and discuss the game. I’m hoping to eventually have more time and maybe be able to host a work D&D group. I also have been looking at 3D printers to eventually start printing my own mini’s or landscapes. It would save a lot of money and I may have more control over things. So, I’ve been researching that more and planning more D&D creations.

I also have some exciting news. I am being promoted into a manager’s position. My manager is leaving sadly, and I was interviewed to replace her. I found out on Thursday that I’ll be taking her position and be the manager for a team of 6-7 people. I’m both excited and a bit intimidated as it will be a lot more responsibility. I’ll also have to be the source for answers that other areas can’t answer. So, this means it’ll be like my first few weeks again where I’ll be relearning things and asking a lot of questions myself. It will be fun though. I enjoy managing for the most part and helping people learn more about the industry. I’m ready to get more into this role.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have a great week and I have some fun stories for you.

Holiday Season and Homebrew for D&D

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys had a good week. My week was a bit hectic. At work we were very busy this week until the end where my day slowed down. It was very interesting as well because my manager is leaving and I’m being trained to be my managers interim replacement until the higher ups decide what they’re wanting to do. She’s moving onto bigger and better things, and I’m excited to see how she likes her new work. I’m also excited as it’s the holiday season. I love the holiday season and the good feelings that come from it. Last weekend we went Christmas tree shopping for my dad’s house and today we’ll be getting the tree for my mom’s house. We’ll probable start decorating it next week. I also just finished my Christmas shopping. I love buying gifts for people and I hope I got some gifts people will like. It’s like a puzzle trying to figure out what people will like and trying to piece it all together to find good gifts. I’m excited to see how everyone will react to the gifts I got them.

I’m also going to try homebrewing more stuff for D&D. If you don’t know what homebrew is, it’s when you create your own content for a game. For instance, creating rules, monsters, items, and more. I’m also planning on sharing my homebrew content on my website. I have a bunch of ideas that I want to make, and I’ve been using the website D&D Beyond to create the new content. I’ll be posting pictures for my content in a section on my website as well as links to it on D&D Beyond. I’d love for feedback on it because that’ll help me grow as a creator. I’m excited to start using more of this content in my future games, so the more feedback I get the better. I’m also hoping to get more people looking at this content I’m making so that more people might use it, so if you play feel free to use it and let me know how it feels.
Well till next week you guys. Have a good week and I hope to have some more fun things to share in the future.

Beginner D&D and Family in Town

Hello Everybody,

I hope you all had a good week. My week was pretty easy and nice. Work went pretty easy and I’ve been able to figure out a good route to take to take home. This new route sometimes helps me get home at least a half hour earlier than my normal route. I also had a half day on Friday as the lab had been closed in the morning. It was nice to just hang out with my coworkers a bit and chat. Then the second half of the day was fairly easy and chill, at least for me. Earlier in the week my Grandpa from Texas came up to visit and hangout with us, so on Tuesday I went to my Dad’s house to have dinner with them. There were a lot of people there that I hadn’t seen in a long time, so I had fun chatting with them and getting caught up with them. I sadly didn’t chat with my Grandpa much, but he seemed busy chatting with everyone else. It was still nice to see him and eat food he had spent so much time on.

This weekend I also had a little tutorial session in D&D for a player that had never played before. It was kind of interesting to plan out. I’m happy I had come up with some backup plans as well as people had cancelled on us. The interesting part for me as well was I had to figure out a simple thing that would teach the basics as well as be entertaining. I think it came out well and the player at least now has the basics down. I had also made to guides for them as they are a level 1 Warlock and it would be difficult for them to kind of learn the basics without having someone with them. My main goals were to teach them combat and exploration. They learned the basics of combat with some of the fights I had set up, this included a pseudo-boss battle. The exploration aspect was given by the secrets and traps I had left hidden around including: Hidden doors, traps, and loot. The third important aspect that they would learn is communication. This one I didn’t have a lot of, but I still gave them opportunities to learn through communicating with their foes. In future they’ll have to rely more on it, but for now it wasn’t a big thing I need to teach.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have a good week and that I have some good stories to share.

Slow week at work

Hello Everybody!

I hope you guys had a good week. My week was very slow. On Monday I had the day off which was nice. It was a good day to get caught up on shows and personal projects. I’ve missed working on my own stuff so I’m excited about that. Hopefully, I’ll be able to work more on my side projects soon. All I need is to get a good laptop for working on projects while on the bus. I’m saving up to get something around Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Once I have that I’ll be able to make progress and start working on my side projects. I also put together a tutorial D&D game to help teach some new players. It has to be polished, but I think it will help teach the new players. Hopefully, I can compound this with my knowledge and teach them well.

My work week was really slow and was interesting. It was interesting, as my work is constantly growing and changing. I’m hoping to continue to see how the work will change and grow. This week may have been slow, but it was still a good way to learn workflow in the office. I also got to help train a new employee on our process and how we actually test. It was fun to train this new employee and show him how it all works. I also got to work on some of our documentation aspects and flex my writing background. Which was nice especially because I’m dumb and new to testing, so I made it simple and hopefully easy to follow. I’m looking forward to the upcoming week.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you guys have a good week and I hope to give you guys a good update next time.

Back to D&D

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys are having a good week. My week has been very interesting. I’ve gotten back to work and was able to work on different things. What was a lot of fun for me was being bounced around between tasks and work. I enjoy going between projects and doing different things so long as I’m able to finish the task I’m assigned on each project. So, it was fun to experience these different tasks and work with new people. Slowly I’ve been meeting new people and spending time with them. I’ve also been getting used to the commute during the week. I don’t think I’ll ever be fully acclimated to it, but who knows.

I also got to play D&D this week with my Dad and brother. It was nice to be back as the Dungeon Master guiding them through the adventure. It was interesting though because they progressed faster than I was expecting and were ignoring all of the side quests I was setting up. Which is fine I just hadn’t prepared for it but next time I’ll be ready and have the different paths planned out. I need to figure out how I’m going to be allocating my time to plan out their future endeavors on their long trek to their next destination. I’ve missed D&D and I’m excited to get back into it. I’m also hoping to get my larger group going eventually as well.

Well I hope you guys have a good week. I’m looking forward to having more stories to tell you all.

Almost Starting Work

Hello Everybody,

I hope you guys have had a great week. This last week was pretty good for me. I’ve been going through and working on various projects and paperwork. I’m also getting closer to starting my new job. I’m very excited to get started and learn. This is going to be a very interesting coming weeks and this last week before work I’ve got a few things to figure out. I’m just wrapping up some of my work on projects and I have to reach out to people about some business stuff. I feel bad but I made sure that everyone I was working with knew I was going to be leaving eventually once I got a job. I also have to see if I can continue work on any of my projects, or if my new job doesn’t allow me to. It’ll be a wild few weeks.

As for the other stuff going on this week I helped my mom with her works barbeque. The barbeque was a lot of fun and I got to meet a lot of interesting people including former Microsoft employees. They were able to give me insight on what it was like working for Microsoft and what they did there. It was cool to meet them and talk with them. I’m also planning on updating my website to include a D&D section so that I can show off some of things I’ve made and give people the opportunity to critique them. I’m always looking for feedback so that I can improve my craft. Its been fun to explore the homebrewing side of D&D and further my skillset. I think I’ve been improving and getting better at it and I’m hoping people are enjoying the things I’ve created.

Well till next time you guys. I hope you have an awesome week. I also hope to post next week but I’ll be busy so I’ll probably have to change my posting schedule around.

On-boarding for a New Job

Hello everybody,

I hope you guys have had a good week. My week went really well. I spent my time working on my usual side projects. I’ve also been creating more D&D concepts on DnD Beyond. It’s been a lot of fun exploring these new concepts and flexing my design muscles. I’ve enjoyed the research and planning for each of the new things I’ve been making. I’ve made several monsters, items, and spells now. I’m hoping to be confident enough in my abilities to make some of the more elaborate things such as races and classes. I’ll have to do a bit more research in order to make those. I’ve liked all of my creations so far and I’m always looking for feedback.

The most exciting aspect of my week was being offered a job. I’ve been filling out the different documentation now. One of the recruiters I’m working with had set me up with this opportunity has been helping me along the way. I’m very excited for this and I am looking forward to starting this. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t stressing me out. I always strive to make a good impression and work as hard as I can. This has been making me more anxious than normal. I’m confident in my abilities, but I won’t be taking any chances.
Well till next week you guys. I hope your week goes well and you have an amazing time.

4th of July Week

Hello everybody,

I hope you all had a great week and for those that celebrate the 4th of July I hope you guys had a wonderful Independence Day. This last week for me was a lot of fun. I worked on various side projects and D&D stuff. It also looks like I’ve found a new group to DM for so I’ve begun planning for that and am looking forward to making the new campaign. Hopefully, this group pans out and we have fun. I’m still waiting on info from the recruiters I’m working with and hopefully will hear some good news this week.

My 4th of July was a lot of fun. I went to a family friends house to celebrate. He lives in effectively a grey area between Seattle and Burien where it is legal to launch fireworks. He also lives near a parking lot. This meant that we were able to launch a lot of fireworks. It also meant this parking lot was filled with people launching fireworks. We had an awesome show of fireworks and we also had RC cars and a cannon. When I say cannon it was effectively a potato launcher except we were just firing it with no ammunition so it just made a really loud noise. It was great and I was happy to celebrate the 4th with my family again.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have an awesome week and I look forward to giving you guys an update.

Waiting and Writing

Hello everybody,

I hope you guys have had a great week. This last week for me was very relaxed. I spent the majority of it working my Dungeons & Dragons campaign. I’ve also started to make stuff using DnDBeyond in order to create homebrew stuff that anyone can see and use. I’ve also been trying to adapt it based on the feedback I’ve received. The rest of my week I spent mainly testing one of the games I’m working on and researching Lua for a potential job. I’ve still got a lot to learn, but I really want to learn more about coding.

The rest of this week I spent waiting to hear more about the jobs I interviewed for. So far I’ve heard from one of the recruiters I’m working with and sadly that job turned me down, but I have another opportunity coming up soon. I’m still waiting on one of the other opportunities and should hear back soon. I’m really excited by all of this I’m also very hopeful, but I’m being realistic. Some of these jobs are a bit outside of my experience, but I’m more than confident in my ability to grow and learn. Hopefully, I was able to convey that in my interviews.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you guys have a great week and I hope to have good news next week.

Relax and Make a Dungeon

Hello everybody,

I hope that you guys have had a good week. This past week was a good week. It was really easy and got a lot of work done on personal projects. I’ve also gotten some new leads on potential jobs. I’m working out details still but hopefully soon I’ll have some interviews. This week was also good cause I got to spend a lot of time with my dads half of the family. We barbequed and celebrated Father’s Day. I’ve also been introducing my brothers to different shows. Lately we’ve been watching Full Metal Alchemist and it’s been great to see the reactions. I love that show and everything in it but I don’t think I’ll ever get over the sad moments in it.

A good portion of this week was also spent working on various things for Dungeons & Dragons. It’s always fun planning campaign stuff and making the story for the campaigns. I finished my first one shot and now I need to playtest is. I seem to have trouble with boss fights. In the core campaign I’m playing with my dad and brother I setup a boss fight that I thought would be good battle but it ended up being a bit to easy. So I’m wanting to try my one shot out and make sure the boss fight feels right. I’m also wanting to try and make more puzzles because I had a lot of fun making one of the puzzles for my one shot. Hopefully, as I continue forward I’ll get better at building and growing the world I have.

Well till next week you guys! I hope you have a good week and I hope to have good news.

Hall of Fame X from Afar

Hello everybody,

I hope you guys had a great week and a fantastic Memorial Day. Mine was actually fairly easy. During the week I spent most of my time working on job hunting and side projects. I also started a little project with my brother. This past week some of their friends were maybe going to come over so we decided to start making a Dungeons & Dragons one shot. So on Friday and Thursday my brother and I sat down and made six characters for this campaign. We worked on their stats, backstories, personalities, and equipment. We also made sure to leave no description of appearance, age, and gave them no names. This will allow any potential players to have control of their characters to a certain extent. So now I have the next step of planning out this one shot and making a series of encounters for it. I’m excited to make this and see how it goes. The rest of this weekend was spent celebrating my moms birthday and taking a break from the business of our normal life.

The other portion of this week was spent watching Full Sail’s Hall of Fame X week. Every year Full Sail will induct people into their Hall of Fame. This is the biggest event on campus and they bring tons of guests to the campus. They host events like their career fair, games, panels, and more. It’s an amazing event and breathes more life into the students and guests. It’s also amazing to see how far it’s grown in just four years. I can’t imagine how much it’s changed from the beginning. I loved working for Hall of Fame when I was in school and getting to meet all the people I could. This one I couldn’t attend sadly. I did watch the various panels and I’m still catching up on some of the panels. It was so awesome to see the new inductees and all the feelings that came from the event. I’m really hoping I can make it next year and help out the students as much as I can.

Well I hope you guys have an awesome week. I look forward to sharing with you guys what’s going on with me.

The Purpose of a Story Bible

Hello my friends!

I hope your past week went very well. Mine was busy but relatively uneventful. I spent time doing my usual routine and had a dentist appointment. The most eventful thing was a meeting I had with two recruiters that work for a technology staffing company. It was very interesting chatting with them and discussing with them what my goals are. They also told me of various services they offer in order to help new graduates find a job. There was one issue though. Their company doesn’t typically work in the gaming fields, however, they said that they do have some connections. They also said they’re still willing to help me with my resume and various other things. Which I am very thankful for and I look forward to any help they can provide.

Now for the other aspects of my week. I’ve been spending a part of my free time on a side project that is a story bible for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I’ll be uploading an updated version of it today, so you can see the progress I have made on it. Now some of you may be wondering what a story bible is. A story bible is a long document that explains the world of whatever project you are working on, if you are familiar with the Silmarillion that is very close to a story bible. This is something that is used to document and record the different aspects of your world and it will help you when creating stories and concepts while within this world. The length will also depend on the project. For example with a historical fiction based in World War II where a team of highly trained Jewish Soldiers are on a mission to kill as many Nazi’s as possible your story bible would be relatively short. You are only changing small portions of world history to create a more interesting story, but if you continue the world after it your story bible will only get longer. In something like my story bible I am building the world from the ground up. I am taking various aspects of preexisting Dungeons and Dragons worlds then reworking them. This can be seen in how the gods come to be in my version. Ultimately the story bible can be used to ensure consistency and provide a more expansive story. This can also make your world feel more alive and make people want to delve even further into your story, sometimes making stories of their own for your world. Another important aspect is that you stick to whatever your story bible says happens or can happen. If you don’t stick to it this creates inconsistencies that can make a story difficult to attach to. This is why a story bible is necessary as it serves as a fantastic way to ensure you have a consistent story line and can answer questions that may come up. This is why I have been spending time creating this story bible. I love creating worlds and the little intricacies of them. They require a lot of research and time, but the pay off is great. I love the idea of providing my players with and exciting in-depth experience that they can explore and grow as they please.

Well I hope you guys have a wonderful week and enjoyed my sort of mini-lesson! I hope to have exciting news for you next week!

New Years and New Goals

Hello everybody!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great time bringing in the New Year. Mine was pretty subdued and relaxing. We watched Star Wars: A New Hope and tried to time the Death Stars explosion so that exploded right at midnight. We were really close to hitting it on the dot but we were maybe a minute off. The rest of the week was a lot busier. I’ve had to work a lot more Tales of Mahabharata in order to prepare for its upcoming expansion release. We’re in a phase where we are fixing any mistakes or issues with the game so that’s going to be my week other than job hunting and portfolio work.

Speaking of the ever present job hunt and portfolio work I’m setting out on a few new goals. I’m going to start uploading every week or so the updated version of my D&D story bible. This will be a way for you to see the progress I’m making on it and get an idea of the process I’m taking. Keep in mind it is a work in progress so right now it’s a little unorganized and a bit like word vomit, but I think it’ll be fun to show the progress. As for the rest of my portfolio. I plan on working on some more personal projects and other things to beef up my portfolio. I’ll also probably be expanding my job search soon as well to try and get a job to make money while I work on my game goals. It’s all very exciting and anxiety filled I’m excited to see where it goes.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you have an awesome and exciting week. I hope to have good news for you all next week.

Funeral and Smoke

Hello my friends,

I hope you all had a great week. My week was very interesting. For the most part I spent my week working on my side projects, job hunting, and D&D world. However, over the weekend my week got stranger. I had two major events that happened. On Saturday was the funeral for my Uncle Chris. The funeral was very touching. I was happy to see the family members I haven’t seen in years. There were also many stories that were told about his adventures across the nation. We also had tons of good food at the funeral. The other interesting thing that happened was I got exposed to a lot of smoke.

So to clarify the smoke was not from a fire and nothing was damaged. So, Saturday morning I awoke to my dads house being filled with smoke. My bed is in the loft area of the house over the living room and kitchen. The house was filled with smoke because of what my dad was cooking for the funeral. What he had been cooking in the oven overnight overflowed into the oven and began to burn. I have no concept of how long I was in the smoke, but it has made me sick for the past few days. I went to the doctors office today and they told me I should be fine I just need to rest. Hopefully, I heal quickly and don’t catch anything else.

Well till next week you guys! I hope you guys have an awesome week and I hope to have more news for you all.

Rejection and Growth

Hello Everybody!

I hope you all have had a good week. My week has been a little interesting. I have had various ups and downs throughout the week. I continued to spend time as the Dungeon Master for my family. This means I’ve been able to further expand the story bible for my campaign. I’m hoping to finish at least the bulk of it soon enough so that I can share it with you all. It’s been very exciting for me to be working on this and I’m hoping to make a well informed and written story bible. The week also contained some sad moments.

I received two emails from companies I applied to, both were the companies saying no. Both were for jobs I was excited about. I was sad to see the emails. However, I’m not about to give up on getting one of my dream jobs. I’m going to keep pushing forward and trying to get a job. I’ve reached out to the other Conference Associates of GDC for extra guidance. After reading the feedback I’ve received I’m going to try making these changes. I’m also going to try focusing on more ways to improve my portfolio. I’m also going to try getting back into writing reviews and other short stories. I just need to better distribute my time.

Till next week my friends. I hope to deliver good news and I hope you all have a very good week.

Dreams

Hello my friends,

I hope you all have had a wonderful week. This week has been pretty exciting for me. I can’t say anything exciting such as getting a job happened, but I did apply to a dream job. I applied for a Game Designer position that is at a dream company of mine. This is a job I saw it and knew it was the perfect job for me. I nearly jumped out of my chair reading it. This is a job I have never wanted more in my life. I will say it made me very paranoid. I’ve been very uneasy about the whole thing and worried that I messed up parts of the application. I’m very hopeful though and I’m ready to give it my all if I get the job.

Other aspects of the past week were exciting as well. I got to play D&D with my dad and brother. That was a lot of fun as I haven’t been able to in a long time. It’s been very nice to explore a world I created with them. I’ve been watching a lot Critical Role as of late to try and figure out more ways to story tell. The Podcast/Twitch show has helped me gain a better understanding of the rules and different strategies. I’ve also been reading the different handbooks to better understand the gameplay. It’s been very exciting for me. This is helping me better understand my craft and how to create stories. I’ve been having a lot of fun making new maps and stories.

Well till next week you guys. I hope you all have a wonderful week and the our dreams continue to move forward. I hope that this week brings wonderful news and more exciting times.
